If the product is offering resell rights, you'll typically find the users discussing that as well. You can also use one of the additional search strings (like "ever tried") listed above. This will increase your chances of finding a forum question that is asking if anyone "ever tried" the product.

Keep in mind, there are some awesome E-Book publishers out there. In fact, I buy E-Books on all sorts of marketing topics on a weekly basis - and I have been doing so for years. If I don't know the author, I will use the same technique described above to research the author/product. However, you can run into someone that doesn't have much exposure but still has a great product, so you may not find out much about them in your research. But it is still very valuable to know that there isn't any negative information about them floating around the net.

Remember, E-Books can be some of the best learning tools if the information is up-to-date, accurate and useful. And there are many of these types of E-Books out there; you just need to do a little research to find them. Once you find an E-Book that has proved to be useful to you, inquire with the other on an arrangement to allow you to sell the E-Book to others. The author may very well have an affiliate program where you can advertise their E-Book and make a percentage of the profit on each sale.

Anyone that embarks on writing an eBook will undoubtedly have read many as well. You will know from this that you must write in an appealing way that maintains the reader's attention. After all, you want them to read ALL your eBook don't you? Plus, you'll want them to come back for more if you are building an online business.

There are many tricks you can use to keep your readers' attention.

Anecdotes give practical examples of what you are trying to explain. These give readers confidence that what you are saying really does work. They are also a great way of explaining complicated topics.

Images are also a powerful tool. They can make topics clearer and they will stick in a reader's mind longer than 5000 words of text. They also break the eBook up and give the reader "markers" to parts that interest them.

Note-boxes or sidebars are also good for summarizing a point or providing additional information. Like images, they break the text up and make the reading experience more enjoyable.

Don't write long sentences or paragraphs. They become difficult to read and detract from the experience. Your eBook is more likely to be put down and not picked up again.

You should also change the length of your paragraphs and sentences so you don't send your readers to sleep. Blocks of text that are all the same length will lose the reader's attention and you'll be lucky of they are awake by Page 10!

We mentioned earlier the use of images as a way of breaking up text. It may be that you can't use images to any great extent; but there are other tricks.

A very powerful one is the use of numbered and bulleted lists. Even with the most basic of word-processing programs you can include different types of bullets and even use custom pictures as bullet icons. These make your topic easier for the reader to absorb and also to give them a mental break from blocks of text.

Finally, think about the design of your eBook. Select a font that's easy to read, and stick to it. You may be tempted to change fonts as a way of trying to make it more interesting. Don't. All it does is confuse your readers and they will switch-off.

I recommend either one and a half or double line spacing. Spacing the lines too far apart make it difficult for the reader to track where they are. Too close makes it dull.

Also, choose a font size that is in proportion to the line spacing you are using. You can get away with a larger font (say 14 point) with 1.5 line spacing but 8 point will look weird. Experiment with different combinations to find one that suits you but remember - what looks OK on the screen may look dreadful in print. Think about how your readers are probably going to read the final eBook (most print PDF eBooks – the idea of the paperless world is myth!).

Lastly, add page numbers and a header to each page with the title of your eBook. I've lost count of the number of times I have been infuriated by the number of eBooks that don't have page numbers. Also, adding a title in the header is a good way of reminding the reader what they are reading and who wrote it. Don't overcrowd headers and footers but use them wisely to give branding to the eBook (your company name or web address if you sell online).

Most importantly, don't forget to do a proper spelling and grammar check. You can even go to somewhere like elance.com and get someone to proof read it for you (for a fee). It's worth it to end up with a credible eBook.

Like it or not, you and your topic will be judged by the standard of spelling and punctuation. Don't shortcut on quality for fear of some criticism. It's better to find out before it is published.

It is important to be instinctive because once you've embarked on your online career, it will be your instinct that will direct you. Don't take time theorising about what you think the right or wrong answer should be, just give the true answer. That's the only way you'll get a useful result.

These four questions should be answered in order with a score between 1 (minimum) and 5 (maximum). No zeros. Write your answers down and keep them safe.

1. How computer literate am I? (Not at all - 1. Exceedingly – 5)
2. How is my self-discipline? (Terrible - 1. Excellent – 5)
3. How positive is my outlook on life? (Miserable - 1. Excellent – 5)

For most complex software products there exist written tutorials that exactly describe how to use them and sometimes even video tutorials that make the product handling even easier. If you've read and watched all tutorials and still cannot manage to use the product, then state this to the creator and you should get that refund.

If you've contacted the product creator and still were not able to get a refund despite some legitimate and acceptable reasons, not all hope is gone. Most marketplaces offer a refund guarantee for products that were sold through them (e. g. Clickbank offers its customers a general refund policy of 8 weeks after the product purchase, for a vendor like PayDotCom you have to contact the credit card processor like Paypal which has a refund policy of 60 days).

It is always suggested to clearly state the reason for your product refund and to keep a friendly communication style. Even if the product is not worth a single penny it doesn't make things easier when you insult the creator. Try to show that you've really tried to use the product in an efficient way, maybe attach some screenshots, include suggestions what could be better, etc. The product creator might loose you as a customer but still can benefit from your experience and will most of the time happily give you the refund.

Whatever you do, please be fair. It's just not right to purchase a product which you badly want and then request a refund to get your money back but still continue to use the product. Most marketplaces (Clickbank, PayDotCom) tolerate 2 or even more refunds, but after that you might not be able to purchase anything again through the specific company.

Whatever your goals are, at some point along the way it will involve money – whether your goal is to be the next Bill Gates or Warren Buffet or simply to help the helpless you still need money (via profit or donation). I've come across a straightforward and simple method of helping to achieve that goal, they are profiting from Internet Marketing. How many people use the internet now? It's not small is it? – Lets face its only going to grow with increasing use in emerging markets like China and India (I was in India last year there is hardly any internet use – I felt lost without my buddy "the internet"!

As advertising budgets decrease and competition increase the use of the above methods of marketing are simply put "the way forward".

What about me? There are many ways for you to market online, you can market other peoples products (be an affiliate). You could even create your own product or service (maybe you already have one). The first thing to have a basic website; best of all – you don't need to hire anyone - these techniques can be learnt for little or no cost.

The latter is especially useful; I often want to go back to a certain quote or paragraph in a book, and electronic search is so much easier than leafing through a printed book.

One of the problems ebooks face is that people do not know how to use them. They are confused by the many different ebook formats or think they need a particular piece of hardware to read them. In fact, the formats are not really a problem. Most computers can read popular ebook formats and ebook reader software is freely available. Hardware is a bit more of an issue. Hardcovers and paperbacks are awfully convenient and they don't need batteries, so a lot of people shy away from reading on a computer screen or spending the money for a dedicated ebook reader.

This is really too bad as ebooks are clearly the way of the future. They just make too much sense. Those who dismiss ebooks are missing out on a great and increasingly attractive alternative to the printed page. Those who are willing to give ebooks a chance are rewarded with lower costs and the ability to carry an entire library on a device of their choice, be that a notebook computer, a Tablet PC, a dedicated ebook reader, a PDA or even a smartphone. And they have access to a potentially much larger variety of books. That's because ebooks make self-publishing easy and lots of authors who don't have a chance of getting picked up by traditional print publishing houses can distribute their books electronically. Best of all, there is no waste and there will never be unsold books that end up on a bargain table or in a landfill.

My advice is to give ebooks a chance. Download a free ebook. Look for sites dedicated to ebooks, especially those with a website design that is appealing. See what format you prefer, and what device you like to read on. But be warned: you may get hooked. Once you get into them, downloading and reading ebooks can become a passion.

The other option for submitting to article directories is to buy software that will do it for you. Article Marketing Doesn't Work. That is exactly what some old-time experienced SEO people are still saying. Yet, one of the clients I wrote articles for went from a link popularity of 1 to a link popularity of 457 in 8 days.
I received an email today from a client I wrote an article for on "Free Credit Repair" 3 days ago. He did a search in Google today for "Free Credit Repair" and the article was in the top 100. Tough category, but it was written 3 days ago and appears in Google for his search term with links to his website.
I can continue to provide dozens of examples where article marketing works and works fast. Once those articles are picked up by other websites besides the article directories, the real benefit comes.
Those websites that pick up and use the widget articles as content for their websites would not use the article if it were not related to their own topic, which means related to widgets in this case. That means relative one-way inbound links for your website.
If you have no use for quick link popularity and relative one-way inbound links to your website, then article marketing is not for you.

A lot of people are down on network marketing businesses (also know as multi-level marketing or MLM), but I'd like to give you 7 reasons why a network marketing business is the best kind of business to own.

1. Your chances for success are better in network marketing.

I'm not surprised that it is similar in MLM. People are people. Some of the people who fail at network marketing are not motivated, some aren't cut out for self employment, some are in the wrong company for them, and some are just not properly trained. But a motivated and trained person in a good company has a great chance of succeeding in their business.

On the other hand, if you start a "traditional" business your odds of success are much lower. According to the SBA, at least 50% of small businesses fail in their first year and 95% fail within the first five years. So, after 5 years of 12 hour days, in debt up to your eyeballs, you only have a 5% chance of succeeding. For some reason that just doesn't do it for me.

2. The costs are much less to get into a network marketing business.

Most network marketing companies ask for a monthly minimum order to keep an active distributor status, it is true. This is part of what keeps the machine running. It is part of the business operating costs. It may be as much as $100, depending on the company.

Now compare that to the costs of traditional business ownership, like rent, utilities, inventory, insurance, taxes, employees, marketing and advertising, and much more. I think you get the idea.

You don't have to be rich or go deep in debt to have your own home based network marketing business. It truly is an equalizer, giving everyone a fair chance at succeeding, no matter what the financial background or credit history is.

3. A network marketing business is simpler to run.

Once you've maintained your new weight for 8-12 weeks, set another weight loss goal, and move back into weight loss mode. By giving your body a break from 'starvation', you'll have overcome its resistance to losing more weight, and be back to dieting for 'the first two weeks' - the weeks that most people lose weight more rapidly.

You'll also be giving yourself a chance to 'practice' maintaining your new, healthier weight. Researchers have found that more than half of the dieters who take off significant amounts of weight do not maintain that weight loss once they go 'off' their diet. By practicing weight maintenance in stages, you'll be proving to yourself that you CAN do it, and removing a powerful negative psychological block.

This will work with any long-term weight loss diet, no matter the focus. You'll find it much easier to do if you choose a diet that has concrete 'phases', like the South Beach or the Atkins, since the weight loss and maintenance phases are clearly laid out for you to follow. Regardless of the diet you choose, though, by alternating between weight loss phases and maintenance phases, you'll teach yourself and your body how to maintain a healthy weight.

Let's face it guys, we love action and we don't need a plot. If it's fast paced, bloody, and has lots of guns we love it. Unfortunately, our dates don't always feel the same way. This actually brings me to my next point and film; if a date ever tells you that her favorite movie of all time is Bloodsport, marry her!

Bloodsport (ACTION - 1988 - Starring Jean Claude Van Damme): I for one love this movie...watching JCVD (Jean Claude Van Damme) do his "deaf touch" and having Chong Li say "Brick Don't Hit Back" was awesome. "I first developed the idea for the website by listening to co-workers telling me horror stories of broken-down relationships and failing marriages," Bachman said. "Much of this was due to the odd shift work and job stress the police officer was bringing home."

Bachman tells the story of a Camden, New Jersey, police officer whose job in the most violent city in the United States took its toll on his marriage.

"This guy can relate to how stress on the job can ruin a relationship," Bachman said. "His fiancé left because she could not stand the odd shift work and wasn't there when he wanted someone to talk to."

Though there are hundreds of local, national and international dating sites catering to singles of various ages, religions and ethnicities, few take into account the role one's occupation can play in a relationship. Bachman hopes TheBadge.org will change that.

"There is a brotherhood among the emergency service workers," Bachman said. "They feel very comfortable talking to others in the same line of work."

Hundreds of emergency workers have been logging on to TheBadge.org each week to do just that. Utilizing the site's free chat and public forum features, emergency service workers can cyber-flirt with other singles or simply vent their frustrations after a difficult day on the job.

And Officer Bachman knows a thing or two about the benefits of online dating: in 2005 he married a woman he met online four years prior.

Although the site is geared toward emergency service workers, it is open to the general public. As such, the site is attractive to those who may prefer to date men or women in uniform.

Currently boasting over 300 members, the site is gaining popularity as word spreads throughout the emergency service community.

"There is a wide variety of people to choose from and you control the environment," Bachman said.

Bachman hopes the site continues to grow and serve as a useful escape valve in the lives of those for whom putting themselves in harm's way is simply part of the job.

"This project is important to me because I think we need to give back to those who risk their lives everyday to protect this nation," Bachman said.

In fact, according to some recent surveys, almost 38% of women that were included in the respondents would still prefer nice guys, while only 15% want the bad ones. Consequently, nearly 34% would rather have a combination of both personalities.

So what do these figures show? It just means that women are still not insane who would literally choose the bad guys. They are only attracted to those who seem to carry a bad boy image but for a more serious relationship, the nice guys, or a combination of both personalities are much preferred.

Given all that, the choice between the two kinds of personality is not a matter of who is the most preferred type of guy, rather, it is a matter of attraction. As long as the nice guys have what it takes to attract women, chances are they would be able to date women.

The pub was nice, but very busy. There was only one table free where we could sit, and that was right up against a larger table where a party of four were eating.

Anyway, I ordered drinks and we sat down and started chatting. Things were going well.

Then, almost subconsciously, I noticed something odd. Whenever I started to speak, a voice at the next table started too, quite loudly.

So, without diverting more than a little of my attention from my date (which is always a big mistake), I listened to the rather booming voice from the table next to us.

Indeed, what was happening was that a large, jowly man, with a nose red-tipped probably from years of drinking port wine, was COMMENTING on everything I was saying! He was clearly the host of his party, with a dominating character that was almost bullying his guests into paying attention to him. They laughed politely at his snide comments, but without enthusiasm.

At this point, my date realized what was going on too. We moved in close so we could whisper to each other. We decided not to make a fuss, which whether or not it shut the guy up would have set a bad tone for the rest of the date.

And I was quite happy to move in close and talk quietly with my date. In fact I couldn't have been happier because, as explained on page 162 of 'Online Dating Tips For Men', talking quietly and closely is one of the best ways of establishing rapport and intimacy.

Unfortunately even though our rude neighbor couldn't hear us, he kept commenting about us and speculating about what we might be talking about. 'Lovers canoodling' was how he described us at one point!

Clearly this was an uncomfortable situation, but I was actually benefiting from it as I was getting closer to my date, and we were sharing this difficult experience. The rapport was becoming intense and we started touching hands.

Eventually the large guy went quiet, but that was quite irrelevant as my date and I were in our own private bubble of intimacy.

In short, it was a fantastic first date and set exactly the right tone for us to progress to the second!

There are lots of things that can go wrong in a date that are beyond control. But often that can result in a rapport and bond being established much more quickly than would otherwise be the case.
